  • Our managers and supervisors conduct safety observations for all labour and employees. Stop & Think Risk Assessments are conducted before commencing any job.
  • We strongly emphasise on providing a safe working environment, by utilising effective risk management processes including site and project hazard studies.
  • We ensure the standards are continually upheld by conducting pre-start meetings at the commencement of each section, together with weekly meetings. These are then entered into our bar chart database to produce our safety results as discussed at the sessions and regular safety meetings.
  • Our safety system also allows our management team to analyse leading and lagging key performance indicators to ensure we continue to modify and improve our work behaviour and performance in the workplace.
  • We aim at achieving the highest standards of Safety and Health as key organisational objective.

Safety regulations followed

A. First Aid
We arrange adequate facilities for first aid and medical treatment for our staff and workers engaged on the work site and are of adequate size confirming to requirements of the place where the job is executed.

B. Personal protective measures:
The identification of personal protective measures is based upon the risk assessment of jobs. But minimum facilities ensured are:

  • A protective helmet, as well as safety shoes.
  • Safety belts for the workers working on heights above 3m.
  • Goggles whenever there is a danger of eyes being struck by powders, splinters, sparks.
  • Gloves for persons handling materials where there is risk of injury to hands and wrists.
C. Housekeeping:
As Housekeeping gives the first impression of how a site is organsied. a programme for housekeeping and waste disposal from site is established. Basic rules followed include:
  • Allocation of separate areas for storage of construction material.
  • All access ways are kept clear from debris including scaffold access.
  • Considering safety material is stacked up to a height of 1 meter.
  • Store area is well defined and maintained.
D. Working at night/ after sunset:
Working at night or after sunset is carried out only after approval from the Clients.

E. Temporary installation on site:
Installation even though temporary, is constructed in a rational and proper way, in observance of standards of safety and work hygiene.

F. Excavation into the ground:
All excavations are hazardous because they are inherently unstable. Before beginning excavation in the areas where the presence of underground pipes and cables are in operation a special permission is procured from the client regarding the same. All excavations are carried out in accordance with the following safety procedure:

  • Before excavation starts excavation work is planned and the method of excavation and other support systems are decided.
  • Existing services are fenced, hung up or protected.
  • Possible effects on the adjacent structures are checked.
  • Plan for uninterrupted traffic follow is decided.
  • Provide safe access & egress into and out of the excavations.
  • Our site in-charge makes a daily inspection of excavation and areas around them before work starts.
G. Working at height:
We provide rigid and safe working platforms, walkways or access when working at elevated locations above ground level, or where a fall resulting in injury is possible or when working in locations below ground level. Platforms and walkways are kept free from obstacles, such as materials, equipment, tools and rubbish etc, All these might fall or obstruct safe working activities. When working during night or in dark locations, working platforms and access ways are provided with adequate lighting.

H. Barricading:
Caution red and white tapes with high visibility are used to segregate the potentially hazardous areas. These tapes are used for indicative entry protection in to excavated areas, scrap yards, shallow pits. The caution tape is stretched at two levels at a distance of 2ft from the ground level.
